Ashton Kutcher has been negotiating a pay raise for the tenth season of Two and a Half Men and is reportedly close to signing.
While his first season on the sitcom wasn’t a barn burner the popular series continues to receive decent ratings. That said, the guy who replaced Charlie Sheen is leveraging an increase in salary from $700,000 per episode to $1 million.
We did a little math and for a full season of 22 episodes we’re talking $22,000,000. His predecessor was pulling in $1.25 million per show during his final season with Men.
What does Chuck Lorre have to say about his Walden character? “I don’t see any reason to continue without Ashton. He’s a delight, he’s a really nice man and he’s a really easygoing guy, he’s very relaxed and very professional. He shows up and he’s ready to work, he’s prepared and he brings it.”
For those reading between the lines, the take away message here is that Ashton is everything that Charlie was not. We get it Chuck.
CBS will announce their full season lineup in mid-May, when it is fully expected they will renew Two and a Half Men.
