Carnie Wilson underwent a lap-band surgical procedure on January 18, her second weight loss surgery in twelve years.
The Wilson Phillips singer lost 150 lbs. after undergoing a gastric bypass in 1990 but acknowledged that “having children derailed me a bit.”
Her latest surgery involved the placement of a silicone band around her stomach to create a golf ball sized pouch.
Two months after undergoing the knife Wilson is down 30 lbs. She said, “It was the right decision for me and I’m doing really well so far.”
Carnie lost 22 pounds in 2006 during a stint on Celebrity Fit Club but gained it all back.
The songstress did a photo shoot for Playboy in 2003 to showcase the results from her first surgery that enabled her to cut her weight in half. She has since vowed to get back into shape so that she can do a second photo shoot with the popular men’s magazine.
Last fall Wilson exchanged places with Tracey Gold during a stint on the reality show Celebrity Wife Swap. Appearing with her were husband Rob Bonfiglio and daughters Lola, 6, and Luci, 2.
Carnie and band members Chynna Phillips and Wendy Wilson did some reality television last year as well, appearing in Wilson Phillips: Still Holding On for the TV Guide Network.
They’ll release a new studio album Dedicated on April 8, a tribute to their parents John and Michelle Phillips and Brian Wilson of Mamas & Papas and Beach Boys fame.
