Peyton Manning is the newest member of the Denver Broncos organization and will wear jersey #18.

Broncos owner Pat Bowlen made the announcement, revealing a 5 year deal worth $96 million. The mega contract means Manning will be the highest paid player in the NFL.

Showing off the new jersey, the former Colts QB thanked famed NFL retired player Frank Tripucka, who agreed to allow Peyton to unretire his #18. Tripucka left the game in 1963 after 15 pro seasons and let it be known several weeks ago that he would be honored to have Manning wear his number if the Broncos signed him.

Now that PM has joined the Broncos roster it appears certain that Tim Tebow will be traded. When reporters asked Manning about Tebow’s future, the NFLer was coy, “If he stays with the Broncos next year I’m going to be the best teammate I can be.”
