Dennis Quaid‘s wife, Kimberly Buffington-Quaid, has filed for divorce after eight years of marriage.
“The marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities … that destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationship and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation,” the divorce petition reads.
Kimberly is asking for fair division of their community assets. In Dennis’ answer to the petition, he says he wants her to get nothing.
A temporary custody order provides both parents time with their children. The temporary order also gives Kimberly possession of their main residence and the Mercedes. Dennis gets the Cadillac Escalade and a condo.
“The parties shall cooperate with one another in using the Range Rover,” the order says.
The couple have twins, age 4, who nearly died shortly after birth when they were given an accidental drug overdose.
