Jessica Simpson is getting close to birthing her child. In an interview for the April issue of Elle magazine the mother-to-be revealed that she and boyfriend Eric Johnson are expecting a GIRL!
The fashion mogul is hoping that her little lady will follow in her fashion footsteps as opposed to inheriting her father’s athleticism.
Jessica said, “I swear, I will croak if she asks me for a pair of Nikes instead of Christian Louboutins!”
She continued, “Eric is so athletic – we’re gonna have this athletic girl and I won’t even be able to take her shopping, cause all she’s gonna want is sports bras and Nikes!”

Simpson and Johnson have chosen their daughter’s name and are going a “nontraditional” route. Jess said, “It’s nothing shocking and nothing you’ll have to add to the dictionary. Still, when people hear it, they’ll know why.”
