The Dark Knight Rises won’t hit theaters until July of 2012 but that isn’t stopping the sudden hype. The newly-released teaser poster has fans whipped up with renewed anticipation.

Debris tumbling down from what appears to be Gotham City buildings in ruins, gives the impression of destruction, but it doesn’t tell us much. Did you notice the gargantuan bat framed out of the center of the poster? It’s hard to know what to expect, none-the-less, it is enough to get people talking.

Wearing the Catwoman costume will be actress Anne Hathaway. That should amp up the action.

Back for another round of action will be Christian Bale, Michael Caine and Gary Oldman. Also on board will be Tom Hardy, Liam Neeson, Morgan Freeman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard.

The teaser poster isn’t the only thing creating excitement among diehards. Rumor has it that fans will get to see the movie trailer if they catch the flick Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2. Smart move by Warner Brothers.

Why not use the studio’s biggest release of the summer to promote its biggest movie of next summer?
