Now the real work begins: 480 hours of community service …

After spending 35 days confined to her Venice Beach home, Lindsay Lohan’s tracking device will be removed from her ankle today and she will be free to come and go as she pleases.

The troubled actress managed to squeeze in a small slice of drama near the end of her court-mandated confinement. She was hauled into court for an emergency hearing after testing positive for alcohol after a rooftop BBQ gathering with friends.

The L.A. Probation Dept. demanded the test, unaware that her drug and alcohol testing order had lapsed. A judge quickly resolved the matter, after admonishing Lohan to refrain from partying for the remainder of her home incarceration.

Lupe Martinez, who works for Sentinel Electronic Monitoring, was spotted at Lohan’s home and was reportedly authorized by the L.A. Sheriff’s department to remove the bracelet any time after 10:20 a.m.

Lilo will remain on probation for the misdemeanor jewelry theft and must complete 480 hours of community service before her name is completely cleared. She’ll divide her time between the Downtown Women’s Center and the L.A. County Morgue.

We’ve done the math … if the actress begins now and works eight hours per day for the next two months, she’ll finally be able to wipe the slate clean.

She’ll then be free to begin filming the big screen biopic Gotti: Three Generations with John Travolta, Kelly Preston and Al Pacino.
