Shocked? No. Bachelor couple Brad Womack and Emily Maynard have called off their engagement and, as expected, have gone their separate ways.
Emily spoke with People magazine about the demise of their relationship: “We are no longer engaged. This was my worst nightmare. I thought there was no way Brad and I wouldn’t work out.”
As soon as the show began airing, things went downhill. They were not allowed to be seen together until the show finale. Womack called the time apart “torturous” and said, “Not being able to be there physically to reassure Emily was the biggest test I’ve ever been through.”
Taking full blame for the failed relationship, Brad stated, “I gave Em every reason under the sun to get out much sooner than she did.”
The 25-year-old single mom reportedly moved to Austin with her young daughter in late March, to determine if she and Brad would be able to make a life together. The couple have not been photographed together in public since April.
Maynard has given the engagement ring back to Bachelor producers.
