Oprah reunited with a mystery family member …
Talk show host Oprah Winfrey will share a personal family secret on Monday that she has been hyping as a blockbuster revelation.
The 56-year-old billionaire is calling it “the miracle of all miracles.” She said: “I was given some news that literally shook me to my core. This time, I’m the one being reunited. I was keeping a family secret for months, and on Monday you’re going to hear it straight from me.”
So what could it be? We know that O was born to unwed teens and was raised by various family members including her grandmother, mother, father and step mother in Mississippi, Wisconsin and Tennessee. She gave birth at age 14 to a baby boy who died a short time later.
In the promo we are shown the back of a person waiting in the wings to join Oprah on stage. The woman in the photo is actually her half-sister Patricia. It turns out O’s mother gave up a daughter for adoption when she lived in Wisconsin. Patricia was raised in the Milwaukee foster care system until her adoption at age 7. It wasn’t until November 2010 that Winfrey became aware of her half-sibling’s existence.
