Last week photos surfaced of supermodel Stephanie Seymour on the beach with her 17-year-old son Peter Brandt Jr. The two were captured by photographers in the act of touching and kissing — sending the Internet into scandal mode.
The model was in St. Barts with her children Peter, Harry and Lily, who were all enjoying the beach when the stunning photographs were taken. Not many websites opted to publish pics of the entire family having fun at the beach, perhaps because it would take away from what appeared to be a very bizarre relationship between parent and child.
Peter reports that the photos in question were taken completely out of context: “My mother and I are very close as she is with all of her children. She often hugs and kisses me and my siblings in a manner that is intimate, any mother in the world does the same.”
Peter went on to say that they were fully aware of the paparazzi’s presence and then he admitted to being openly gay. The young man said that their relationship may be a bit different because of his sexuality. You can read the young man’s full statement below.
