Oprah played Santa Claus yesterday during her Favorite Things 2010 extravaganza. Wanting to end her 25 year reign with a bang, this year’s studio audience giveaways were over the top.
The list included commemorative watches with 58 handset diamonds $2475, a Nikon D3100 digital SLR camera $700, Ralph Lauren cashmere sweater and throw blanket $600, Judith Ripka Eclipse canary crystal earrings with white sapphires, kitchen goodies and gadgets, books, and hair care products.
More freebies were a Netflix membership, 52 inch Sony flat screen television and Blu-Ray player $3600, gift certificates, clothing, shoes, and a custom built closet $1000.
Audience members worked themselves into a frenzy over a free 7-day Caribbean cruise.
Earlier this fall Oprah announced to her audience of 300 that they were all going on a 10-day all-expenses-paid trip to Australia in December. Piloting the plane will be John Travolta.
