Another media stunt? Spencer Pratt was arrested at an airport in Costa Rico for illegally possessing firearms. Booked on a felony charge, he has since been released after turning over the weapons and signing a confession.
Spencer released this statement: “As part of my spiritual cleansing I have spent the last week living alone in the jungle, reflecting on my past transgressions, and working to become a better person. I had to live off the land, and hunt to survive. As I departed the country this morning to continue my spiritual journey, I mistakenly brought my hunting weapons to the airport. It was an honest mistake, and they sent me on my way.”
TMZ did get a glimpse of the arrest document and although they were in Spanish, they were able to translate the most important words: “guilty”, “charged” and “felony”. Heidi Montag was also listed on the paperwork as “wife.”
Who brings a gun to the airport? Sounds very much like a reality show plot…
