As one might suspect, there seems to be some tension at the Century Regional Detention Facility where actress Lindsay Lohan is currently incarcerated and doing a shortened stint against a 90-day sentence. Inmates are complaining that there is definitely star treatment where the actress is concerned.

The L.A. Sheriff’s Department originally estimated August 1 as the date she was likely to be released. Since that time she has been given two additional days credit for time previously served.

Spending what is now reported to be 11 or 12 days behind bars seems like a walk in the park, but Lindsay’s fellow inmates are telling their families that she is indeed disrupting their day to day lives. Hello? You’re in jail — your life is supposed to be disrupted – memba?

Maria Medina, a relative of one of the inmates, spoke to People: “She’s not treated like if it was anyone else going to jail. Like if they bring her new clothes or bring her anything, they put the whole facility on lockdown. It happens all the time.” She said that the inmates are feeling jilted that Lindsay has so much control over her stay.

Steve Whitmore, spokesman for the Los Angeles Sheriff’s department told People: “It’s business as usual. Lindsay is getting no special treatment.” He also cleared up any “lockdown” rumors and said that there is no such thing as a lockdown at the facility.

Lohan’s lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley stated that her client is doing fine: “Her outlook is definitely more positive.” Holley also addressed the ‘family visitation’ rules and rationalized why LiLo has been allowed weekday visits. She claims it is being done to ensure that the other inmates experience no disruptions by the media when receiving visits from their loved ones during normal weekend visitation hours.

In other Lohan family news, Michael Lohan is in big trouble for attacking his former fiancee Kate Major — more on that story here.
