The Black Eyed Peas are easily one of the most recognizable groups in the music industry. With numerous hits on the Billboard Hot 100, the foursome is truly a force to be reckoned with — but that may be about to change.
According to Radaronline.com, Fergie is ready to part ways with the group for good. It seems that Fergie Ferg is no longer getting along with group leader will.i.am. An insider close to the situation reports, “Things have gotten really bad with will.i.am. And it’s not just Fergie who is clashing with him. So is the rest of the band. His ego is out of control.”
Fergie has stated that she wants to settle down and have a baby with husband Josh Duhamel. We hope this is the more accurate reason for the split rather than the group feuding.
When I sat down with the Peas, minus will.i.am., they expressed that they had a lot of love for each other and it seemed genuine, but it was interesting that only Fergie, apl. de. ap and Taboo were doing interviews. Will.i.am was MIA.
It is evident that the Dutchess could handle a solo career just fine. She’s had much success on her solo projects. “Glamorous”, “Big Girls Don’t Cry”, “London Bridge”, and “Fergalicious” blew up on the charts and became her anthems. The group may suffer a bit without their leading lady.
The Black Eyed Peas will tour throughout the summer and have plans for a tour in 2011 though it remains unclear if Fergie will be along for the ride.
