Filming of the fourth installment of Disney’s extremely successful Pirates of the Caribbean franchise is set to begin this summer in Hawaii.

Several of the series’ stars have committed to the fourth film; Johnny Depp returns as Captain Jack Sparrow, Keith Richards will again play Sparrow’s father and Geoffrey Rush will once again play Sparrow’s adversary, Barbossa. Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightly are not expected to return.

The newest member of the Pirates cast is 23-year-old Astrid Bergés-Frisbey. Bergés-Frisbey was cast by director Rob Marshall as the mermaid Syrena in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

Actress Penelope Cruz has also been tapped for the film and rumor has it that Johnny Depp is recruiting Mick Jagger for a role as an elderly pirate – no word yet if Jagger is biting.

Bergés-Frisbey, who happens to be a Penélope fan, starred in the French mini-series She and I, alongside screen legend Danielle Darrieux. The same year, she shot her first feature film, A Bridge Against the Pacific, in Cambodia opposite the French actor Gaspard Ulliel.

Astrid was born in Barcelona and now lives in France, she is an avid soccer junkie who originally planned on being a osteopathic physician before switching gears and enrolling in France’s Cours Simon drama school instead.
