Isn’t family great! Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen is reportedly not returning for another season of the hit show, and guess who wants to replace him? Uncle Joe.
Charlie’s uncle Joe Estevez, younger brother of Martin Sheen, is looking to cash in on his nephew’s stardom and has his rep Ed Meyers ready to pitch the idea to Chuck Lorre, the creator of Two and a Half Men.
Estevez isn’t foolish enough to actually think that he looks close enough to Sheen to step in and replace him in the lead role, but thinks that they could manipulate the script so that Charlie’s character has gone “missing or overseas” and in steps the uncle.
Are Joe’s intentions on the up and up? His thought is that he would like to save the show for the “good of the family”. Our guess is that you will not see Uncle Joe as a replacement for Sheen.
Estevez, 60, has had numerous minor movie roles, particularly in independent films. He has also done voice-over work and performs in stage productions.
