Early Tuesday morning former actor turned White House aide Kal Penn was robbed at gunpoint in Washington D.C. The criminal investigation on the case just got larger now that the Secret Service has stepped in to assist D.C. Metro Police in finding the robber.
The gun-toting man not only stole Penn’s wallet but also took two cell phone, one personal and one belonging to the U.S. Government. Kal works for President Barack Obama as the Associate Director in the office of Public Engagement.
Penn called White House communication following the robbery and service to the phone was shut off immediately. TMZ was told, “No information was compromised because no official numbers were in the phone.”
