Teen beauty queen Alicia Guastaferro is suing ABC for $100 million over her 2008 appearance on the reality show Wife Swap.

The lawsuit accuses ABC and parent company Walt Disney of staging scenes to “maximize her public embarrassment,” and says producers staged scenes and ordered the teen to “act a little more spoiled.”

Guastaferro claims she has gotten death threats and been assaulted, and went from the honor roll to a special-ed student as a result of her appearance on the show, and says she now has panic attacks and suicidal tendencies.

The show allegedly manufactured scenes to make Guastaferro look bratty, and after it aired, she became the object of ridicule among her western New York peers, forcing her to transfer schools.

The suit says that although her mother agreed to be on “Wife Swap” for $20,000, ABC and Disney didn’t obtain the teen’s consent.
