The 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards were presented last night at the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center. The show was simulcast by TNT and TBS on January 23, 2010.
Sandra Bullock presented Betty White with SAG’s highest honor, the 46th Annual Life Achievement Award, following a film tribute. The 88-year-old actress made famous the roles of Sue Ann Nivens on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and Rose Nylund on “The Golden Girls”.
Individual awards for performances in motion pictures went to Jeff Bridges for “Crazy Heart”, Sandra Bullock for “The Blind Side”, Mo’Nique for “Precious” and Christoph Waltz for “Inglorious Basterds”. The foursome had another clean sweep – see last week’s Golden Globe coverage here.
Awarded for performances on television went to Kevin Bacon for “Taking Charge”, Alex Baldwin for “30 Rock”, Drew Barrymore for “Grey Gardens”, Tina Fey for “30 Rock”, Michael C. Hall for “Dexter”, and Julianna Margulies for “The Good Wife”.
Outstanding movie cast honors went to “Inglorious Basterds”, top comedy and drama ensemble honors went to “Glee” and “Madmen”. Stunt awards went to movie “Star Trek” and the television series “24”. See entire winners list here.
