Brett Favre got your goat? A woman in Minnesota was certainly annoyed with the newly minted Vikings player. After painting a goat with the team’s purple and gold colors, and shaving Favre’s No. 4 on it’s side, the woman tied the animal’s feet together and stuffed it into the trunk of her car with plans to butcher it later.
En route to the goat’s slaughter, as Favre made his Vikings debut in a preseason game on Friday, the woman took the car to Tires Plus in Winona to have a belt replaced. While repairman James Prusci was doing the paperwork, the woman warned him about the goat in the trunk, telling him of her plans to butcher the animal.
Prusci heard the goat crying and opened the trunk to give it some air. While the woman waited outside with a man and a young boy, the mechanic alerted animal control. An animal control vehicle and two police cars awaited the woman as she walked to the parking lot about an hour later to pick up her car. The goat was taken to a local vet, where he was renamed Brett and placed in foster care.
The city attorney is reviewing the case for possible citations.
