Hot off the presses, ET is reporting that Tori Spelling has not been able to negotiate a suitable monetary contract to appear on the new 90210 spin-off. Read this to mean she is likely playing hard to get and is fully expecting a better offer shortly.
Plans had been underway for the actress to get another shot at playing Donna Martin on the new CW series 90210. The actress starred on the earlier Beverly Hills 90210 teen soap in the 1990’s and expressed a desire to land a spot on the new show.
Spelling, the daughter of the late Aaron Spelling, is married to actor Dean McDermott. They have a 17 month old son Liam and a two month old infant daughter Stella.
The plan had been for Tori to have a spot in the pilot where she would be involved in a shopping scene and presumably this would lead to a long term role on the new show. Back in March she was quoted as saying:
“I would love to be a part of it. Who would I play? I would play the sexy mom obviously. Every teen drama has a hot mom – stepmother of course because I couldn’t possibly have a teenage daughter.”
