Rumors have been floating that Lil’ Wayne‘s eight year old daughter Reginae Carter died in a car accident late on the evening of August 10th. Apparently this is just someone’s idea of a sick joke that is anything but funny.
Lil’ Wayne’s website has been inundated with condolences from fans around the globe. One message in particular is from someone who is identified as an Aunt:
“I am pleased to inform you that this report is false. It is merely a rumor started by someone who obviously is miserable in their own skin that they would even have the notion to attack a child.”
Lil’ Wayne was born Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. The rapper, formerly with the Hot Boys, grew up in Louisiana. He married his high school sweetheart Antonia ‘Toya’ Johnson in 2004 and they divorced in 2006. They are the parents of Reginae.
