John McCain has launched a new campaign ad that dismisses Barack Obama as similar to Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. The three, according to the McCain camp, are considered the three top mega celebrities in the world.
Whether the ad will have the desired effect is yet to be seen. McCain’s message is fairly straightforward. He believes that there is little substance to his Democratic opponent but he acknowledges that Obama is wildly popular wherever he goes and is considered the media darling. The ad says:
“The biggest celebrity in the world but is he ready to lead?”
Apparently Kathy Hilton and her husband Rick Hilton are not too happy with the McCain campaign. It seems they have donated $4,600 to the McCain coffers and now believe that his ad is demeaning to their daughter Paris. Ditto says the Obama camp.
