For all of you Where in the World is Matt Lauer? fans, he’s at it again. NBC’s Today Show sent anchor Matt Lauer out into the world and we have to guess his daily destinations based on clues that are given by Lauer. Not only is he keeping the secret of his whereabouts from the viewers but his colleagues are kept in the dark as well.

Each day this week we will see Matt at a new spot. Rival networks have called this one of the best ideas in television. The Today Show needs no assistance but this has proven time and time again to be a BIG hit.

Matt has put on more than 210,721 miles and visited such sights as the Egyptian pyramids, Mount Everest, Monte Carlo and the Taj Mahal in India. He gets a great deal of input into his future destinations. Talk about a dream job.

Lauer admits that this segment really wrecks havoc on his body and had this to say:

It’s really hard to keep your body from getting completely ruined on this, so I come home and say that I am never going to do this again. And that usually lasts for three to four months.”

Trying very hard to keep his body and mind on New York time by not changing his watch, the anchor tries to stay on his regular sleep schedule of 9:00 p.m. eastern time.

Matt’s day one destination was Buenos Aires, Argentina. He has give us two great clues for determining where we will find him tomorrow morning.

Clue #1:

The people in our second destination are accustomed to being looked down on…we’ll let the winds lead us to them…and we should get there on time…unless we stop for the lights.”
