Kristy Lee Cook was voted off the wildly popular FOX reality show American Idol on Wednesday night. The vivacious blonde from Selma, Oregon is 24 years old. She sang Mariah Carey hit Forever during Tuesday nights performance round.
The singer made news early on when it was reported that she sold her prize horse in order to fund her trip to the Idol audition. She has since tried to buy back the horse but the new owner isn’t willing.
Others in the bottom three included Syesha Mercado and Brooke White. The six remaining competitors also include David Cook, David Archuleta and Carly Smithson.
Mariah Carey served as this weeks Idol mentor. David Cook drew rave reviews from all three judges for Always Be My Baby. The other standout this week is 17 year old David Archuleta, who sang When You Believe. Unless something drastic happens between now and finals, these two are clear frontrunners and will likely duke it out in the finale.
We’ve got Kristy Lee Cook’s performance of Forever below. Check it out – as judge Randy Jackson would say.
