Paulina Porizkova, Czech born supermodel, got her first break when John Casablancas of “Elite” modeling agency sent her a plane ticket to Paris when she was 15. The 5’10” statuesque beauty quickly gained fame in Europe and the U.S. She was once the highest paid supermodel in the world.
She has graced the covers of Sports Illustrated, GQ, Playboy, as well as mainstream magazines like Life, People, American Photo, Harpers Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Vogue and Self magazine. She has also done advertising for Diet Sprite.
In 1988 she signed a $6 million contract with Estee Lauder cosmetics and did their ad campaigns until 1995. The model has done some work in films and has written a children’s book in the 90’s and recently “A Model Summer” which was released in April 2007.
Paulina appeared on ABC’s reality TV show Dancing with the Stars in season 4. She and partner Alec Mazo were the first couple voted off the show in March 2007.
