Ellen DeGeneres is reported to be in the dog house with a pet rescue agency after she gave away an over rambunctous dog to her hairdresser.
Apparently Iggy couldn’t play nice with the family cats. The pooch, a Brussels Griffon mix, was purchased on September 20th. When the agency checked back last week to find out how things were going – the dog dung hit the fan.
The dog rescue agency, “Mutts and Moms”, informed DeGeneres and her partner Portia de Rossi that they had violated an agreement. In addition to shelling out $3,000, DeGeneres had apparently signed paperwork promising to return the canine to the rescue agency if the placement was unsatisfactory.
The agency has since retrieved the animal from the home of the hairdresser. DeGeneres took her plight to the air waves on the Ellen DeGeneres Show earlier today. She apologized for not thoroughly reading the fine print of the contract and made a tearful plea to “Mutts and Moms”, begging them to return the dog to her hairdresser and family who have reportedly fallen head or heels in love with Iggy. So far the agency has not responded.
