Laura Harris as Jill Bernhardt on Women’s Murder Club
Laura Harris plays Assistant D.A. Jill Bernhardt on the ABC television series Women’s Murder Club, a new one-hour drama series based on James Patterson’s best selling novels about four successful working women in San Francisco, who work together to uncover clues to the city’s most grisly homicides.
Born November 20, 1976 in Vancouver, British Columbia, 30-year-old Laura Harris began her acting career in radio dramas and animation series when she was five. As a child she attended an all girls private school and attended college through UC correspondence.
In her teens she broke into feature films. She is best known for her role as Daisy Adair in the cable series Dead Like Me and Marie Warner in 24. Harris, along with a friend, formed her own production company, Rocket Children International Pictures.
Women’s Murder Club also stars Angie Harmon as Homicide Inspector Lindsay Boxer, Paula Newsome as Medical Examiner Claire Washburn, and Aubrey Dollar as crime reporter Cindy Thomas.
The show, produced by Jessica Simpson’s daddy Joe, is not without it’s drama. The series debuted October 12th and rumors were already rampant that claws are out on the set.
Sources say that “Murder Club’s” blonde bombshell, Laura Harris, is by far the most difficult. “The producers know she is a headache. Make-up and wardrobe fight over who doesn’t have to work with her.” And Harris and Newsome both believe they deserve top billing — over the much more well known Harmon.
