Alex Trebek, game show host of Jeopardy, has been hospitalized after suffering a heart attack. The Canadian is the winner of several daytime Emmy awards has been associated with the TV program since 1984.

Trebek, 67, was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center last night for a minor heart attack and is expected to remain hospitalized for several days for tests and observation, according to show spokesman Jeff Ritter.

Trebek has currently been on hiatus and is scheduled to return to the studio in January, when taping of new shows is set to begin.
