Tobey Maguire and his wife Jennifer Meyer took their young daughter Ruby Sweetheart Maguire to a West Hollywood park on Sunday afternoon. The couple met in 2003 when the actor was working on the film Seabiscuit. The 20 month old toddler is their only child.
Maguire took up tournament poker in 2004 and has reportedly earned $10 million playing poker in Hollywood. He had a good showing in the 2007 World Series of Poker event, surviving three days play before being eliminated.
Jennifer Meyer is a successful jewelry designer who came to prominence after Jennifer Aniston wore one of her signature pieces, an 18 carat gold charm in the shape of a leaf, in the 2006 movie The Break-Up. Meyer is the daughter of Universal Studios president and CEO Ron Meyer.
Maguire has two movie projects that will release this year. Brothers is a dramatic war film starring Natalie Portman and Jake Gyllenhaal, with Tobey’s character going missing in Afghanistan. Quiet Type, is a romantic comedy with Maguire in the lead role as a mute who sets out for New York City to realize his dream of conducting an orchestra.
