Elizabeth Banks and Josh Brolin play George Bush and Laura Bush in the upcoming biopic W. Banks is very impressed with our nations First Lady and thinks that her beauty is underrated.
Banks was at Manhattan’s Gramercy Park Hotel on Monday night, where Women’s Health magazine honored the 34 year old actress who graces their October cover. When asked about Laura Bush, she said:
“For some reason, I don’t think people appreciate just how beautiful a woman that she is. I think it’s partially just because I think she needs a mini makeover – but if she were wearing super stylish Phillip Lim dresses and had long blonde hair, I think you’d really be stunned just how gorgeous a woman she is. She has everything that goes into a great face: great cheekbones, beautiful eyes, great smile.”
Banks had this to say about Josh Brolin’s portrayal of George W. Bush:
“He is perfectly cast. I mean, people forget that he is a sort of cowboy who went into the same profession as his own father and lived in his dad’s shadow, and is now creating his own career outside of the family.”
We followed most of what Banks had to say on the subject of Laura Bush but find it difficult to picture the First Lady in long blonde hair.
The Oliver Stone film about the life and presidency of Bush is set for release on October 17th. Richard Dreyfuss portrays Dick Cheney and Thandie Newton plays Condoleezza Rice.
