It looks like Kelly Osbourne has taken her third stint in treatment seriously. This time around she is admitting that she has been addicted to painkillers since she was a teen and that for the first time she is clean.
The 24 year old daughter of legendary rocker Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, Kelly relates that her struggles began when she was 13 and had her tonsils removed. She was given liquid Vicodin and Kelly quickly came to believe that when she was taking the prescription, she was liked more, picked on less, gained self confidence and had a fun time.
In 2004 Kelly went into rebab for the first time and reentered in 2005, but her latest stay has had a serious impact on her life. The realization hit her that if she didn’t get help, she would die. Confessing that she is getting a second chance on her career, she acknowledges that she wants to be present for it.
Last November Osbourne became engaged to Luke Worrall, but reports indicate that Sharon and Ozzy are insisting that she wait five years before tying the marital knot. Sharon told People magazine, “Neither of them is ready for domestic bliss right now.” Kelly feels that her mom may be right, “I’d become one of those cracked out housewives with a vacuum cleaner, hopped up on Dexedrine.”
