Titus ‘Baatin’ Glover 1974-2009

Titus Baatin Glover, 35-year-old co-founder of the hip-hop group Slum Village has died. His body was found this morning in Detroit, in the 14000 block of Anglin Street and taken to the Wayne County medical examiner’s office, where the cause and manner of death will be determined by an autopsy

The Detroit native, known for his spiritual lyrics, hit the underground hip-hop scene in the mid 1990’s, first calling himself Scandalous-T. Slum Village made their national debut in 2000.

Baatin left the group in 2002, reportedly suffering from schizophrenia. He recently returned to the group to work on their upcoming album Villa Manifesto, scheduled to drop on September 22. He participated in a video shoot last week with other group members T3 and Elzhi, aka Jason Powers, for their upcoming single Cloud 9.

Titus Baatin Glover is survived by his son Michael Majesty Ellis, 9, and his daughter Aura Grace Glover, 1.
