70’s iconic rock band KISS is releasing their first studio album in 11 years. The new album, Sonic Boom, is scheduled for release on October 6, 2009, exclusively at Walmart and Sam’s Club.
Produced by guitarist/vocalist Paul Stanley, Sonic Boom is part of a three-disc set which will also feature a re-recorded greatest hits CD with 15 of the band’s most famous songs, and a live DVD shot in Argentina during the band’s KISS Alive 35 South American tour.
According to Gene Simmons: “SONIC BOOM may be the best new record we’ve done since Destroyer! It is Rock And Roll Over meets Love Gun. The world’s biggest retailer had better get ready for the hottest band in the world and hire more cashiers before October 6th!”
Walmart.com will begin taking pre-orders for the $12 CD set in September.
