The winner of the 2010 Masters Golf Tournament is 39-year-old PGA lefty Phil Mickelson, who captured his third Augusta win on Sunday April 11. He finished at -5 for the day and -16 for the four-day event to beat Lee Westwood by three strokes. His scores were 67, 71, 67, 67 for a total of 272.

Mickelson’s wife Amy Mickelson and their children traveled to Augusta to be near Phil this week for the first time since the Players Championship in May 2009. Amy has been battling breast cancer for the past eleven months and spent most of this week in bed recovering from the effects of her recent treatments. She arrived on the course late in the day on Sunday, just in time to see her husband sink a birdie putt on the 18th green to capture his fourth major title.

Phil embraced his wife for a long hug, with tears rolling down his face before going into a trailer to verify his scorecard. He hugged her again when he emerged and they headed off to the Butler Cabin for the green jacket ceremony.

After receiving his third green jacket he choked up and said, “She’s an incredible wife and an incredible mother. She’s been an inspiration this past week. It meant a lot to have her and the kids here this week.”
