It was Double Score Showdown last night on the hit ABC reality show Dancing With the Stars. The nine remaining celebrity contestants were judged for their technical skills and separately for their performance. Their combined scores will be add to their viewer votes to determine who will be eliminated on Tuesday night.

Landing at the top of the leaderboard this week was Olympic skater Evan Lysacek and his pro partner Anna Trebunskaya with a combined score of 52. Trailing by just 2 points were Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough.

In third spot with 47 are super sexy Pamela Anderson and her hot pro partner Damian Whitewood. They really lit up the dance floor with the steamiest performance of the night – including her killer splits. There were no wardrobe malfunctions thanks to the pasties that she is required to wear.

Chad Ochocinco and Cheryl Burke had their best scores of the competition thus far with a respectable 44. Burke was wearing a HUGE sparkler that she received from the NFL wide receiver. Sounds like they may have more than a dancing relationship.

Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovskiy scored a disappointing 39. Normally at the top of the heap, there was obviously something wrong because she looked like she was ready to burst into tears every time the camera panned on her throughout the evening.

In the lackluster category were Jake Pavelka and Chelsie Hightower with a score of 38, Niecy Nash and Louie Van Amstel 36, Aiden Turner and Edyta Sliwinska with 33.

At the bottom of the pack were Kate Gosselin and her ever-so-patient pro partner Tony Dovolani with a score of 32. The judges showed some compassion for the reality show mother of eight. Bruno said, “For a moment I actually believed you were dancing, but don’t get too excited — your technique is still very bad.” All three judges agreed that it was her best performance.

Gosselin, who whined during rehearsals about the stress that she feels because her deadbeat husband, who doesn’t work, is attempting to seek sole custody of their kids. His lawyer has filed court documents indicating that she isn’t spending quality time with her brood now that she has gone Hollywood.

Any sane judge will see that she is out trying to earn a living like so many other parents who must travel for their work. The fact that she built a dance studio in the lower level of her home so that she and her pro partner could practice while her kids are at school is pretty telling. She spends only the required days in L.A. and takes the red eye right back to Wernersville, PA immediately after the show tapes on Tuesday.

We digress! So…who will go home tonight? If Kate’s fan base continues to vote like they have been, we see Irish actor Aiden Turner getting the boot.

UPDATE Tuesday April 13: We called it right. Aiden Turner and his pro partner Edyta were eliminated.
