Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Camille Donatacci filed for divorce last week at the Los Angeles courthouse, petitioning the court to end her 13-year marriage to Frazier star Kelsey Grammer.
Grammer and Donatacci have two children together; daughter Mason, 8, and son Jude, 5. Initial reports claim he got fed up with his wife because she couldn’t be bothered to assist the kids in phoning him in New York on Father’s Day.
Kelsey took the time on his personal web-page to address these allegations and more involving the split. “The truth is I did call my kids that evening. Frankly, I was surprised that they did not call me in the morning but I was thousands of miles away and working that day so I didn’t give it a second thought.”
Grammer also spoke about rumors that he was seen out to dinner “smooching” a much younger woman. The female was his 26-year-old daughter from a previous marriage.
The divorce filing did not come as a surprise to him. He stated that they had been discussing the split for some time and that he respects Camille for her decision to file. He is hopeful that the two will be able to maintain a good relationship while raising their children.
Kelsey said there will definitely come a time when he and Camille will be with other companions and that they are indeed free to see whomever they please – no doubt a nod to her reality show. Donatacci recently began filming the new Bravo series Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
We can’t help but think that Camille needed to be rid of her husband in order to portray a sexy single cougar. Seems like a straightforward case of career trumping marriage.
