Beth Holloway, mother of missing American teen Natalee Holloway, managed to smuggle herself into Castro Castro prison with a television film crew for a face to face meeting with accused murderer Joran van der Sloot.

According to Holloway-Twitty’s lawyer John Kelly, who appeared on the Today Show Friday, she sneaked into the maximum security Peruvian prison with Dutch journalist Peter de Vries, who brought a film crew along for an interview with the incarcerated Van der Sloot.

Her session with Joran lasted a mere five minutes before he ended the brief encounter because his lawyer was not present. The entire group was promptly escorted from the prison grounds.

Van der Sloot is in prison awaiting trial for the brutal murder of Stephany Flores Ramirez. She was bludgeoned to death in his hotel room exactly five years to the day that Natalee Holloway disappeared in Aruba, where he continues to be considered the prime suspect.

Joran will also have his day in a U.S. court on charges of extorting money from the Holloway family.
