Engaged …

Just three weeks after the death of Elizabeth Edwards, her estranged husband John Edwards is reportedly engaged to marry his long-time mistress Rielle Hunter.

The couple have a daughter Frances Quinn, who will turn two-years-old in February. Edwards reportedly arranged a restaurant meeting last month so that his children Catharine, Jack and Emma Claire could meet their half-sister.

The extramarital affair began in 2006 after he hired her to produce campaign videos while he was running for president. She traveled with him as an employee. The National Enquirer broke the story in October 2007 but couldn’t drum up any interest until they played it up again in December 2007 with proof.

Edwards admitted to the affair in 2008 but denied fathering a love child. He and Elizabeth separated in January 2010 following John’s admission that Frances was his child.

Elizabeth Edwards changed her Will in the days leading up to her death in early December. Her estranged spouse was not mentioned in the 5-page document. She left her wealth and possessions to her three living children.
