The miniseries The Kennedys won’t be appearing on the History Channel. A&E has confirmed that the production featuring Katie Holmes and Greg Kinnear doesn’t follow history closely enough to be a good fit for the brand.
The dramatic interpretation had been slated for broadcast in the spring. It is unclear whether another network will pick up the body of work that had Holmes portraying Jacqueline Kennedy and Kinnear starring as John F. Kennedy.
The eight-part series had Holmes convincingly portraying a pregnant First Lady. More photos below:
