The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has announced that Miss Golden Globe 2012 is Rainey Qualley. She’ll be tasked with escorting the winners on and off stage and handing out trophies.
Rainey, 21, is an aspiring actress. Her famous parents are actress Andie MacDowell and former male model turned rancher Paul Qualley. They met while they were posing for the same GAP ad in the early 80’s.
The honor traditionally goes to the daughter of a well known celebrity. Miss Golden Globe 2011 was Gia Mantegna, the daughter of Criminal Minds actor Joe Mantegna. The daughters of Demi Moore, Jack Nickolson, Clint Eastwood and Kevin Costner have also been recent honorees.
Qualley is thrilled with the opportunity, “I would like to thank the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for giving me this wonderful opportunity to serve as Miss Golden Globe 2012. I’m really looking forward to being a part of this year’s awards presentation.”
The 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards, hosted by Ricky Gervais, will air on Sunday, Jan 15, 2012, live on NBC.
