Halle Berry will not be attending the 2012 Academy Awards ceremony.
Berry, who was scheduled to be a presenter at the Oscars, canceled her appearance because of a broken foot.
While it was initially reported there was “no crazy story” behind how the actress injured her foot in Spain in September, it turns out the accident happened while chasing her daughter Nahla, who was chasing a goat. (You just can’t make this stuff up.) Berry was in Spain filming “Cloud Atlas.”
I suppose it is difficult to coordinate an outfit with crutches and a cast.
The 84th Academy Awards will air live from the former Kodak Theatre in Hollywood Sunday at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC. A new name for the theater has yet to be determined after Eastman Kodak was granted permission in bankruptcy court to end it’s 20 year sponsorship deal.
