Jennifer Lopez clearly hasn’t put boundaries on what her manager Benny Medina can and can’t say during interviews. The entertainer’s manager aired it all out in the April 2012 issue of Vogue.
Benny spoke about the singer’s habit of engaging in serial monogamy instead of going for an enduring long-term relationship, “The thing that I always sort of wished is that she would give herself time to just naturally meet someone, instead of having obsessive guys pursue her.”
Lopez jumps all in when she hooks up with a new man, “The ease with which that obsession becomes a relationship I think sometimes works against her ability to have a real meaningful relationship. And she never half does anything. When she commits to anything in her work, her life, or her relationships, she is in it.”
Benny is not only Jen’s manager and friend but is also the godfather to her twin children Max and Emme.
We can’t help but wonder if he has some serious reservations about Jen’s latest hookup with 24-year-old dancer Casper Smart.
“She’s not oblivious to her own reality right now, as in, ‘Damn, I’m 42 with a 24-year-old. Why?’ We talked about it yesterday.”
Jen told Benny it’s not about the age difference, “She said, ‘It’s actually that I just came out of a relationship where I felt like I was kind of not getting what I needed. And I’m open! So somebody who steps in right now and is actually touching me in a way – it’s very fertile ground!’”
Will Medina catch some J-Lo flack for speaking publicly on her personal life? We’re guessing she will see that he is merely pointing out the obvious.
