A Pennsylvania jury found former Penn State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky guilty on 45 counts of sexually abusing 10 boys over a period of 15 years.

The 68-year-old appeared stunned as the verdict was read count by count. He faces life in prison and will be sentenced in 90 days. An appeal is expected.

Following the verdict, Sandusky was remanded into custody as his wife, Dottie, and the couple’s four children looked on from their seats in the courtroom. Some of his victims and their families cried as the verdict was announced.

The former Penn State coordinator was arrested in November 2011, in a shakeup that led to the firing of coach Joe Paterno, who died two months later of lung cancer.
