Katie Holmes was photographed leaving the Manhattan office of her divorce attorney Allan Mayefsky after a six hour strategy session that ended early Saturday evening.
The actress filed for divorce in New York City last week and blindsided Tom Cruise by asking for sole legal custody and primary physical custody of their six-year-old daughter Suri Cruise.
While many speculated that Cruise would file his own divorce action in California, it appears his lawyer Dennis Wasser is already huddling with Katie’s legal team to quietly negotiate a settlement without going to court.
A public battle would most certainly create an unwanted scandal for the Church of Scientology, something the actor has undoubtedly been warned to prevent.
