Halle Berry is the second actress in less than a week to require emergency medical attention after hitting her head on concrete while filming a scene.

The ‘Monster’s Ball’ celeb, 45, was rushed to Cedars Sinai Medical Center by ambulance at 10:00 p.m. Tuesday for treatment of a head injury suffered while working on a late-night shoot for her latest project, ‘The Hive.’

The thriller, directed by Brad Anderson, weaves the tale of an emergency operator who must confront a killer from her past in order to save a young girl’s life. Berry’s co-star is talented teen actress Abigail Breslin.

Filming came to a screeching halt after the accident.

A rep for the actress issued a statement: “Halle Berry suffered a minor head injury while shooting a fight sequence on the set of her film, ‘The Hive.’ She was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but she checked out healthy and was released. She’ll continue production as planned.”

Last week Broadway and television actress Kristin Chenoweth suffered a serious head injury when lighting equipment fell on her while she was filming an outdoor scene for the CBS drama ‘The Good Wife’ in Manhattan.
