Rapper Rick Ross dodged a barrage of bullets after becoming the target of a drive-by shooting at 5:00 a.m. Monday near his Florida residence.

Fort Lauderdale police responded to a call of shots being fired near Las Olas Blvd. and 15th Avenue. The target of the two dozen bullets were the occupants in a Rolls Royce owned by the rapper.

Ross and a female companion were not injured but did end up slamming the Rolls into a residential apartment building on 15th Avenue while trying to make a quick getaway.

Police are looking for several unnamed suspects believed to have been involved in the shooting.

Ross, who recently purchased a home in the area, was celebrating his January 28th birthday at an all night diner and was fired upon as he got into his vehicle. The restaurant was hit by a handful of the bullets, with some striking a window and a cooler.
