Angie Miller‘s run on ‘American Idol’ came to an end last night, paving the way for Kree Harrison and Candice Glover to compete next week for the title.

Nobody seemed more shocked than the 19-year-old Massachusetts native who was given a “heroes parade” in her hometown of Beverly a few days ago.

Before her ‘Idol’ debut, Miller served as one of the lead singers of the worship band at Remix Church–where her parents pastor.

The teen couldn’t hold back the tears as she sang her exit song, Colton Dixon’s ‘Never Gone.’

Angie revealed, “I definitely thought that with the whole hometown visit and how huge social media has been … I did feel kind of confident that I was going to make it.”

Miller described her departure as “bitter and sweet.”
