Prince Harry toured the storm-ravaged Seaside Heights area, known as the Jersey Shore, on Tuesday with Gov. Chris Christie as his guide.

The Prince received a warm greeting from the governor, his wife Mary Pat and their children Andrew, 19, Sarah, 16, Patrick, 12, and Bridget, 10.

Christie, who recently underwent lap band surgery, tweeted a photo after the event that was captioned, “Greeting Prince Harry at the Jersey Shore the best way I know how; with his own Royal Fleece.”

The 28-year-old British Royal shook hands with police, fire and other emergency personnel who were called to action during and after Superstorm Sandy. He also exchanged greetings with construction workers who are rebuilding the famous boardwalk.

Harry was impressed to see the recovery effort in New Jersey. He remarked, “Everyone is getting together and making things right.”

Next on his U.S. tour will be a trip to Greenwich, Conn., to captain a polo team as part of the Sentebale Polo Cup.
