Singer Mariah Carey dislocated her shoulder on Sunday night while filming a music video for a remix version of her song ‘Beautiful.’
The mother of two was filming at the Chelsea club Avenue when she tripped and fell while dancing and singing in her trademark high heels.
According to Page Six, Mariah was driven by private car to New York’s Hospital for Special Surgery, on the Upper East Side. Doctors reset the joint and she remained hospitalized overnight before heading home to recover.
Carey’s rep Cindi Berger told PEOPLE, “Mariah is fine. As planned, she will be performing Saturday night in Central Park for the MLB All Star Charity Concert with the NY Philharmonic.”
The entertainer and her husband participated in the Macy’s 4th of July Spectacular that was televised on NBC. Later that night she was photographed waving an illegal sparkler – pic here.
Mariah plans to release a new album this year but pushed it back recently in order to “get it just right.”
The remix video of ‘Beautiful,’ featuring R&B singer Miguel & rapper Young Jeezy, is being directed by her husband Nick Cannon.
